The evening will consist of 5 rounds of trivia with the following themes: History of Montana Rivers, Montana River Critters, River Geology, Boating and Floating, and River Ecology and Health. Raffle and trivia winners will be awarded their prizes at the end of the night.

Wait... the river looks great! Why do we need the Missoula River Ambassador Program?
The Clark Fork River is healthier than it has been in generations, thanks to more than forty years of collaborative conservation efforts to protect, restore, and build resilience into the rivers and streams flowing through this hardworking 14-million-acre watershed. Missoula’s urban river corridor now supports thriving fish and wildlife and is one of Missoula’s defining recreational assets, drawing record numbers of tourists and locals alike.
However, with increased use comes a new set of challenges: litter, streambank erosion, crowded access sites, parking and safety conflicts, and increasing pressure on sensitive fish and wildlife habitat.
The Missoula River Ambassador program (a collaboration between the Clark Fork Coalition, the City of Missoula, Missoula County, Montana Fish, Wildlife, & Parks, the Missoula Conservation District, and ASUM Transport) was created to address and prevent issues like these. Each summer, River Ambassadors engage with river users at access sites around Missoula, helping thousands of people by relaying river conditions, handing out river trash bags and maps, providing safety advice, answering questions, and turning everyday interactions into opportunities for stewardship.
Utilizing education rather than enforcement, the River Ambassadors make responsible recreation feel accessible, practical, and personal for river users of all experience levels, ages, and abilities. Additionally, paid and volunteer Ambassadors collect invaluable river user data and observations that help partner agencies with nuanced management decisions in a rapidly changing river corridor.
